About Me
I’ve always been fascinated by history, from the earliest civilizations of the bronze age to the Napoleonic Wars and everything in between. There’s not a part of human history that doesn’t interest me.
My interest in medieval history began when I was very young, reading about knights and castles, it’s always been something that has activated my imagination. Later in life I had my horizons broadened watching the historical epics of the 70’s and 80’s, films like Zulu and Waterloo.
At 15 I got involved in medieval reenactment at my local castle and the rest, as they say, is history. Every new thing I learned only made me want to know more, so I began to delve into history books on any topic I could find. Books covering the rise and fall of the first empires. Books taking in depth looks at the minute details of arms and armour. Books on the history of the Welsh march, my local area. My shelves are full of books just waiting to be read and re-read.
I began to organize events at the same local castle where my journey into living history started, hosting a wide range of groups from Romans to WWII pilots, helping our history reach more and more people.
I love talking to the public, telling them about the things I find fascinating and being able to share what I have learnt. In 2023 I decided I wanted to take this to the next level so I began this venture with the hope of sharing my love of history with you.
